About Weronika Gruszczynska

As the Chief of Staff, Weronika is the Executive Director’s right hand in driving DMZ’s long-term strategy forward and ensuring operations run smoothly across all functions. In her role, Weronika connects the dots between all of DMZ’s stakeholders – from staff to university leaders, partners, board members and founders, fostering synergies and ensuring key initiatives are on track for success. She’s all about getting projects to click and turning the ED’s vision into real-deal plans that keep DMZ growing.

Before joining DMZ Weronika worked as an Elementary School Teacher, where her passion ignited for sparking young leaders’ fire through innovation. Prior to teaching, she worked at a prominent corporate immigration law firm providing executive support to the firm’s managing partner. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa. Born in Koszalin, Poland, Weronika’s global perspective is complemented by fluency in both Spanish and Polish. Weronika is DMZ’s ultimate foodie – she’s a big fan of Peruvian ceviche and never says no to a potato chip.
